How Cub Scouting Works…
Den:
Your son will be a part of a den; a small group of boys in the same
grade level who meet weekly. The Den is ideally made up of 3 – 8 Scouts.
Pack: All dens, from grades 1 through 5, make up
a Pack. Once per month, the dens, with their families, gather at the
Pack Meeting, where boys show off the new skills they have learned
during the month and are recognized for the badges they have earned.
Den Meeting: Den Meetings are typically held twice per month. Den
Meetings are currently being held at Eastbrook Elementary, Tuskawilla
Presbyterian Church, and private homes. Meeting locations are determined
by the Den Leader.
Pack Meeting: Pack meetings are typically held at Tuskawilla
Presbyterian Church (TPC) once month on Mondays from 6:45 - 8:30pm. This
is a time when Scouts and their families come together to celebrate
achievements earned in the previous months. Several times a year our
Pack Meetings are held in conjunction with other activities and at a
different time.
Parent Committee: The Parent Committee is a group
of parents who meet once a month to review the activities of the Pack
and to determine future events as well as handle the “business” of the
Pack. We welcome all parents to attend the Parent Committee Meeting. Click

for the latest Parent Committee notes, Meeting Agenda, and Treasurer's
Report.
Den Leader: The Den Leader is the person who volunteers to lead
the Den. They lead the den at the weekly Den and monthly Pack Meetings.
They also attend the monthly Den Leader and Pack Committee Meetings.
Go-See-It: A Go-See-It is a field trip of sorts that fulfills one
of the requirements of the Tiger Achievements. Trips include fire
stations, history centers, hikes, etc.
Roundtable: A monthly meeting where parents and
Leaders of the pack come together to share information with other
parents and Leaders and to gather information for the next month’s
program. Roundtable is for the entire Little Econ District and many
great ideas are shared here. |
