Fundraising

Fundraising is an important part of Scouting. Our Pack prides itself on being self-sufficient to the point of being able to pay the Scout's way into all Pack Activities. The largest fundraiser we do each year is Trails-End popcorn with the Boy Scout Discount Cards being the second most profitable fundraiser.

Fundraiser Lingo:
A “Show-n-Sell” is when we take our products to such local businesses as Publix, Lowes, and Bass Pro Shops. Scouts sell the popcorn or discount cards in full uniforms with uniformed leaders present to supervise.
We utilize “Sign-Up Sheets” to staff the Show-n-Sells. Sign-up sheets will be posted online and at Pack Meetings.
Popcorn

September – November

Popcorn sales begin in early September and end in mid to late October. Each Scout will have a sales packet as well as have the opportunity to participate in Show-n-Sells at such locations as Publix, Lowes, and Bass Pro Shops. Each sale the Scout makes is put toward his overall prize from Trails-End. Popcorn sales have ended for this Scouting year.

Boy Scout Discount Cards

February – April

Boy Scout Discount Cards are sold from February to April. The cards will be distributed to the Den Leaders who will then pass them out at their Den Meeting. These cards contain stickers that can be redeemed for merchandise and/or food at such retailers as McDonald’s and Publix.
Show-n-Sell sign up sheets will be coming soon!

Recycling

Ongoing

Our Pack recycles aluminum cans all year long. We use some of the funds received from our recycling to adopt animals from the Back to Nature Wildlife Refuge. Aluminum cans should be crushed, bagged, and labeled with the Scout’s name. They can then be brought to the Pack Meetings each month or Den Meetings.
